Role

The role you will play is that of a sector/product expert; undertaking the following duties:

  • Closely monitoring the capital market and recognising rewarding investment opportunities for clients in equity, debt and mutual funds.
  • Working closely with clients and execution teams on mandated transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, capital raisings and restructuring.

Profile

If applying for an Investment Advisor / Senior Investment Advisor position,

  • Should possess CCM License.
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience to be appointed as an investment advisor.
  • Advisors with more experience will be considered at managerial level.
  • Should have completed GCE Advanced Level.
  • Age below 25 years.
  • Other professional qualifications (would be an added advantage).
  • Skills required include fluency in English, excellent written and verbal communication skills, good analytical skills.
  • The ideal candidate must also be self motivated, outgoing, confident.

Role

Your main role will be identifying new business opportunities that NDBS can move into. You will need to stay updated with what's happening in the stock broking industry-what our competitors are up to in terms of products and service offerings, marketing strategies, and so on.

We want to see you generating and presenting these ideas at client meetings alongside senior bankers.

Profile

  • Should have completed GCE Advanced Level.
  • Age below 25 years.
  • Part/full professional qualification preferred.
  • Skills required include fluency in English, excellent written and verbal communication skills, good analytical skills.
  • The ideal candidate must also be self motivated, outgoing, confident.

Role

We will train you to produce financial, structural and business risk analysis to support transactions and client presentations. Your job will involve the following:

  • Initiating and conducting research and analysis of listed entities at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) while working on tight deadlines.
  • Assisting investment advisors in identifying suitable equity and debt instruments for clients
  • Independently conduct background research and document the findings and conclusions in the form of research reports.
  • Build and maintain financial models.

Profile

  • The ideal candidate should be academically qualified at Degree level and/or posses a professional qualification in Finance/Accounting such as CIMA, ACCA or CFA with minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in the financial services/research industry.
  • A degree in Economics will be considered favourably.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and the capacity to deliver under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • The ability to understand and evaluate macro economic data and indicators of the local and global environment.
  • A high degree of computer literacy and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and industry.
